Here is the task for the final week. We are using the questions to discuss the readings (below). Please, post your answers here: http://titanpad.com/iGAfg5a12h

1. What is online mentoring?
2. What are advantages and disadvantages of e-mentoring?
3. Considering that we do a lot of things online nowadays, including classes and degree oriented studies, do you think e-mentoring will be the future?

We are looking forward to your thoughts

The final week's readings:

Essential reading:

FINAL PROJECT

Hopefully, you have already started thinking about the final project. Team up with fellow participants or talk to us to get going.

Title: Back to Reality

Create a project to describe your own mentoring goals.

Consider your own situation and to reflect on how you would implement mentoring to improve the teaching and management at your own institution.

A few things to remember:

  • Creating a project is not compulsory, it is designed to encourage you to reflect on the readings, case studies, webinars and conversations on this EVO session and try to implement the results of your learning in your everyday working life.
  • There is no such thing as a small Project. Every effort is equally important and useful, the biggest challenge is to make the first step, and the rest is easier afterwards.
  • There is no submission deadline for the project but it would be great to see some of them before the end of the session, 17th February.
  • We will provide feedback and advice on your project.
  • We would like to follow up on your progress and support your efforts after the session, too.
  • If you have any other questions about the project contact us at mentor.evo@gmail.com.

You can choose any format for describing your ideas. Here a few suggestions:

  • Write a blog post on your own blog (or start your reflective blog today) and share the link with us.
  • Create a word document or a presentation and email it to us (mentor.evo@gmail.com).
  • Make a voice recording with your mobile phone or your computer.
  • Shoot a short video with your own webcam or your phone.
  • Make a short cartoon you can create with xtranormal or Firefox popcorn maker
  • Start your own TitanPad document
  • Make a Voicethread.

If you need help with any of these tools, let us know we are very happy to help you (mentor.evo@gmail.com)
